A brown and white lop-eared rabbit outdoors.

Welcome to Onward Acres Holland Lops

Holland Lops since 1999

Holland Lops since 1999.  I don't attend shows anymore, I just really enjoy raising high quality Holland Lops and have developed a distinct bloodline over the years. Pictures  of some of our best Hollands are pictured on this page in the photo gallery. In the past, when I did show my rabbits at ARBA shows, my most notable wins were these:

  • BOSV (with an AFL, youth) @ 2001 ARBA convention in San Diego CA
  • BOB & BRIS (with an AFL, youth) @ 2000 Hawaii All Breed Rabbit Club Show on Oahu, HI
  • BOB & BRIS (with a Holland Lop, open) @ 2005 NIRBA Huckleberry Classic show in Sandpoint, ID
  • 5th place (white jr. English Angora, open) @ 2007 ARBA convention in Grand Rapids, MI
  • 5th, 6th & 10th BSD/BJD classes (with Holland Lops, open) @ 2015 ARBA convention in Portland, Oregon
  • We have also sold countless stock which produced show winners for other breeders across the country, and even some stock that have won at shows & one Holland Lop SSB we sold last year placed 11th at the 2023 ARBA convention.
  • Our rabbitry is a closed rabbitry and is absolutely not open to the public. This is for bio-security and general safety.

  • Most of the rabbits we sell are breeding/brood stock quality that have the AMAZING GENETIC CAPACITY to produce show quality stock. However, a number of the rabbits we sell are also show caliber and have won at shows for the buyers or place even place in the top ranks @ ARBA convention.
  • No guarantees are given as to the success a rabbit will have in breeding or showing, period.
  • Photographs of Rabbits For Sale: The rabbits for sale are posed as well as we are able to pose them, and the pictures or videos  are NOT contrived or altered to change the rabbit that is photographed.
  • Ear Tattoos: IF a rabbit is getting on transport, we either tattoo or sharpie in the rabbits shortly before they leave. For local pick ups, we generally don't worry about tattooing. Rabbits pictured & described are the same rabbit you are sold tattoo or no tattoo, period. If you're going to freak out over there not being a tattoo, don't buy rabbits from us. I can tell the difference between every single rabbit without a tattoo, and our cages are each labeled with the occupant's name.
  • Rabbit Toenails: By & large, most of our rabbits have the "correct" toenail color, but sometimes one will have a mismatched or missing toenail. This is not something to fret over. Toenail perfection is not guaranteed.
  • Color genetics: Our #1 priority is structure, NOT color gene purity.  We do not have "pure" color genetics....such as an all sable point pedigree or an all chinchilla pedigree, etc. We don't breed certain colors together that would totally mess each other up, but, we do breed rabbits together in order to produce the best structure possible according to our bloodline goals, therefore that includes breeding different colors together. It doesn't mess up the colors, yet some people care so much about "color genetics purity" that they prioritize color purity more than we do, and it bothers them to see a pedigree with different colors in it. If you are one of those people, you probably shouldn't buy a rabbit from us. Our priority is amazing structure / type, not color genetic purity.
  • Weight:  No minimum or maximum weights are guaranteed.
  • Gender:  Although it's rare to mis-gender a young rabbit, no guarantees on any Hollands sold less than 12 weeks old. Occasionally a young junior will look like a buck but turns out to be a doe, or vice-a versa. No refunds if that should happen (but remember, it is very rare and not something to worry about).
  • "Split" bucks- we don't guarantee anything against this....the degree of opening on a male rabbit's private part varies wildly. Quite frankly, we think it is ridiculous to care that much about how big the opening is on a buck's private. The opening size can vary so much without affecting their ability to reproduce. People oughta be at peace with that and stop obsessing over something so ridiculous (So anyhow.....if you are one of those folks that freak out and obsess over the particulars of a rabbit's dick, then please don't buy a Holland Lop from us.
  • Ear control: While we breed for strong crowns & no ear control....Sometimes Holland Lops, particularly those born in the winter, will have varying degrees of ear control where their ears don't lop fully, or at least not until it is summer temps. They can still make fabulous breeding stock. If you are someone who can't see past changing degrees of ear control, please, don't buy from us and then decide after the fact you're mad about the ear control and create drama. No guarantees on ear control and no refunds.
  • Rabbit Temperaments:  Hey, some rabbits are cool and friendly, but some rabbits are not.  Some rabbits (does especially) get moody when they are hormonal. Some rabbits get testy for no real reason, they just are. We absolutely can't guarantee the temperament, even if it was a sweet rabbit with us, sometimes they just change in a new environment with new people.
  • Youth Rabbits: If you are a parent looking for that 4h or ARBA show winner rabbit for your child, we strongly advise against that because we can NOT and will NOT guarantee that any rabbit, no matter how nice it is, can win. It is more rewarding for a youth to get breeding stock and breed/raise their own homebred show winning rabbits.  But don't get us wrong.... we have sold rabbits that do go on to do quite well for youth who are showing in 4h or rabbit shows....our main point here is just that there are not any guarantees.
  • Transport of Rabbits: Before contacting any transporter, ask us if it is a transporter we work with. Arranging transport & paying for is the responsibility of buyer. We can recommend transporters. All sales are final.

  • Payment: Buyer must pay at least a 50% deposit upfront after deciding to purchase it. The remaining balance is due at pick up if you are picking up the rabbit. If the rabbit is getting transported by someone else, the remaining balance for the rabbit is due at least 3 days before the transport pick up day.  PAYPAL, VENMO and Cash are accepted. No checks.
  • REFUNDS: NO REFUNDS. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. The ONLY refunds issued are if something happens to the rabbit before it leaves our care, we will refund.
  • *Our rabbitry is a closed rabbitry and is absolutely not open to the public. This is for bio-security and general safety. *
  • Our rabbits are inspected by us at the time of sale (the same day of which the rabbit is handed over to the buyer or the transporter), and are known to be basically healthy. We feed high quality commercial pelleted feed, de-worm with Fenbendazole seasonally, ivomec seasonally, feed olive leaf supreme health supplement, wash their water bottles & feed dishes all the time, pressure-wash cages every summer, and have 24/7 high-power ventilation in the rabbitry.
  • Once the rabbit is out of our care, absolutely no guarantees on their continued health can be given. Rabbits are delicate creatures.
  • If a rabbit is going on a transport route to get to you, you need to understand that most rabbits do perfectly fine on transport, but it also can be hard on some rabbits (especially young ones). Rabbits usually will loose some condition while en-route on a transport. This is perfectly normal.

Our rabbitry is a closed rabbitry and is absolutely not open to the public.
